Update: Slope Tree Trimming Project

The Board has approved a proposal submitted by United Land & Care to trim the Pepper Trees on the Association slope. The tree trimming will take place the week of October 10th. The trees that will be addressed during this project are those nearest to homes at the back slope. In addition, the low branches on 10 Oak trees will also be removed.

Entrance Renovation Plans

Over the past few months, the Board has been reviewing proposals for landscape architect services to redesign the community entrance. At the August 31, 2016 meeting, the Board approved the proposal submitted by Monarch Environmental to create renderings for the community entrance, which will provide an updated look with much more curb appeal and an environmentally conscious plant palette. Following the approval of the overall landscape design, the Board will be reviewing proposals to move forward with the landscape plantings.

Adjourned Annual Membership Meeting

We are still trying to meet the quorum requirements for the 2016 adjourned annual membership meeting. So far only 17 ballots have been received and we need at least 8 more ballots. This year, there are two (2) Board positions available for a two-year term; the known candidates are Erick Finenberg (incumbent) and Patrick Toole (Incumbent).  Please remember to mail your completed ballot as soon as possible, to ensure that your ballot is received prior to the date of the meeting and we meet the 25% quorum requirement to hold the meeting.  If you lost or misplaced your ballot, please contact Management at 949-450-0202 to request that another be sent to you.

Architectural Reminders

As a reminder, an Architectural Application must be submitted for any exterior modifications in order to maintain the overall aesthetics of the community.  Once an Architectural Application is approved, you will need to submit an Architectural Application to SAMLARC for review and consideration.  It is recommended that homeowners take the time to thoroughly inspect your home for paint needs, window replacement, wood rot damage, tree trimming and landscape improvements.  To review the architectural information for SAMLARC, please visit: http://www.samlarc.org/Community_Services/Architectural_Information.htm

Parking Reminders

Please ensure that you are parking the amount of vehicles that your garage was designed for in your garage before parking vehicles on the street.   Vehicles left standing or parked within 15 feet of a fire hydrant or a fire lane are subject to immediate tow at the vehicle owner’s expense; in addition, vehicle owners found in violation are subject to citation and fine, pursuant to the Parking/Towing Rules.

Please Pick Up After Your Pet

It doesn’t take much to remember that we have pets in our community. In fact, if you don’t watch your step, your liable to step in one such reminder! Besides being unsightly and smelly, animal waste can be hazardous to the health of our children who play in the community and other pets. One of the most common forms of disease transmission between dogs is through fecal matter. When walking your dog in our community, remember that it should be leashed. Also, it is important to remember to immediately clean up after your pet. Take along a baggie with you to pick up waste with and then dispose of it properly. By taking a few simple steps to clean up after your pet, you can contribute not only to the beautification of our community, but also towards the elimination of one of the biggest nuisances in our community. Thank you for your cooperation!
